Woodland Heritage will return and encourage more craftspeople to use timber grown in Britain at the 2018 event which runs from 18 to 27 August at Thirlestaine Long Gallery, Cheltenham.
The Best Use of British Timber Award at Celebration of Craftsmanship & Design (CCD) exhibition has been kindly and successfully sponsored by Woodland Heritage (WH) for the past few years.
CCD is the largest selling exhibition of bespoke contemporary fine furniture by small designer-maker workshops in the UK and sees around 300 exhibits from over 70 workshops displayed in Cheltenham every August from across the UK, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. CCD was established to support these small furniture workshops 24 years ago by providing a relatively cost efficient opportunity to exhibit and sell their work. The event is attended each year by over 2,000 visitors from across the country who have a passion for, and often great knowledge of, craftsmanship and wood.
